Welcome to my Photoshop training site.   I am a freelance Photoshop instructor certified by Adobe in the very latest versions of their software (Photoshop CS3, CS2, CS & 7). I provide Photoshop training for a wide range of clients including Highlander, a prestigious Adobe Authorized Training Centre and Adobe Solutions Network member.

I have been using Photoshop in my work as a professional photographer since version 4 (in 1996!). My interest in IT and digital imaging has led me to qualify as an Adobe Certified Expert  and Instructor (ACE & ACI), Certified Technical Trainer (CompTIA CTT+) and  Certificated PC technician (CompTIA A+).    I have also studied photography at university level and have worked as a professional architectural photographer.

I provide tailored and responsive training on your premises in a 1:1 context or in groups. As a trainer I am highly concerned that the more technical and "administrative" aspects of the program should not be allowed to interfere with your creative approach. I understand that for you to produce creative work you need to be confident and relaxed with the program, to this end I am very careful that my Photoshop training only imparts as much theory as is practically necessary for good training. I am also very keen to ensure that all my clients fully understand the various ways they can undo their latest image modifications, this ability to go back at any time really encourages experiment and fluid working.

 

Although I can provide Photoshop training notes if you wish, a good deal of my work is 1:1 and I am well used to fielding client's questions as and when they arise. I am especially keen to work with you on your own images because this is easily the most powerful training method. It ensures relevance to your professional practice. In short I am flexible in my training approach.

I can provide Photoshop training on PC or Mac as you wish, and I offer training in the entire Adobe Certification syllabus for Photoshop. My Photoshop training covers every major component in the program, I have special interests in maximizing the creative use of Layers and also Camera Raw image processing.
